We first began operating in the Dominican Republic in 2004, when we opened this Representation Office in Santo Domingo. From here we can generate any kind of business, but as a Representation Office, our operational support comes mainly from the CAM Miami Agency, our operational office for the US and Latin America, or from any of CAM’s branches in Spain.

To provide operational services in the Dominican Republic, we have signed agreements in place with several of the leading Dominican banks - Banco León, Banco BDI and Banco López de Haro - through which we can offer our customers the possibility of opening accounts or taking out products and services with preferential market conditions.

In addition to all these possibilities, this office can analyse finance operations for both individual customers and companies, mainly focusing on mortgages (taking guarantees for real estate in the Dominican Republic) and on international trade operations (issuing letters of credit, confirming letters of credit issued by other banks, etc…), although we will consider any credit operation.

To facilitate our customers’ commercial transactions between Spain and the Dominican Republic, CAM has signed agreements in place with the leading international development financial organisations operating in the Dominican Republic, such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC), belonging to the World Bank group, and the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB).

Through these facilities, Spanish companies that trade with the Dominican Republic can guarantee the collection or recovery of advance payment on international trade transactions made through the banks affiliated to these programmes, along with many other advantages.

We can also offer all the investment products available through CAM, to get the most from your savings, as well as all the other products and services on offer.
